Julie Moak scored 12 points and Leslie Wagoner had 10 points as the Lady Hounds finally picked up their first win of the season by defeating the Lady Rams in the District 7-A opener for both teams.

Huntington (1-11, 1-0) jumped out to a 12-7 lead after one quarter of play, but the second quarter turned out to be the deciding factor as the Lady Hounds outscored the Lady Rams 19-7 for a 31-14 lead at halftime.

Allie Fontenot led WCCA with a game-high 15 points and Hannah Ashley added nine points.
