Services for Helen B. Moreland, 93, of Monterey, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Monterey Church of Christ with the Revs. Russell Crum and Billy Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at the New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Moreland was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Parhams, the daughter of William Ernest and Evaline Burley. She was a resident of Monterey, a housewife and a lifetime member of the Monterey Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Leon, Clarence, Shelby and Enos Burley; and a sister, Leola Mount.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde J. Moreland of Monterey; two sons, Leo Moreland and his wife, Evalena, of Monterey and L. Rogers Moreland of Monterey; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hartmann, Phillip Zuccaro, David Moreland, Kenneth Moreland, Steven Hartmann and Johnathan Moreland.

Honorary pallbearers are Warren J. Holland and Kay Craig.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Monterey Church of Christ.
