Alvin Ready

Graveside services for Alvin Joe Ready, 64, of West Point, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, will be 2 p.m. today at Highland Park with Pastor Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.

Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mr. Ready was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Wisner, La., the son of Flora E. Mason Ready and Wilton Franklin Ready.
He retired after 45 years as an auto body technician, was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a Veteran of the U. S. Army.

Mr. Ready was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin, Charles, James and Carl Ready.

Survivors include one son, Joe Ready and his wife, Julie of West Point; one granddaughter, Anna Ready of West Point; his sister, Linda Murray and her husband, Wayne, of Center Point, La.; brothers, Frank Ready and wife, Rosina, of Brandon; Arnold Ready and Ray Ready and wife, Tina, all of Sicily Island.
