Services for Henry Jones, 92, of Church Hill, who died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Progressive Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation is from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Jones was born April 6, 1914, in Adams County, the son of Ivory Jones and Ida Forrest Jones.
He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in New Orleans, and was a deacon of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Ruth Patterson Jones of Church Hill; two step-daughters, Vanesa D. Hughes Clark and her husband, Ricky of Sacramento, Calif. and Marcia L. Hughes of New Orleans; one step-daughter from a previous marriage, Louise Cruel Betsey of Yipslanta, Mich.; three step-grandchildren, Donte O. Clark, Kimberly L. Clark and Sharlina L. Clark, all of Sacramento, Calif.; and a number of many friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Wilford Jones, Clarence Jones Jr., Lee Jones, Antonio Jones, Kenny Stewart Sr. and Kenny Ray Stewart Jr.

Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Jones.
