Rayville rips Ferriday girls

RAYVILLE, La. — The Ferriday Lady Trojans fell behind early and never recovered in a 32-point loss to the hosts in the Rayville Tournament Saturday night.

Rayville scored 27 points in the first quarter and 23 in the fourth to pad the lead.

Ashanti Wilson led Rayville with 20 points, and Ashley Qualls scored 18. Ebony Johnson and Courtney Scheanette each scored 14 on the night.

Jasmine Upchurch and Jalessia Davis led Ferriday, scoring 12 and 11, respectively.

Cathedral girls 50, Dexter 26

WESSON — The Cathedral Lady Waves used a 38-point second half to pull away from Dexter and take a blowout victory Saturday afternoon in the Wesson tournament.

Christian Dobard scored 17 and Ann Elise Rinehart scored 16 to lead Cathedral to the win.

After only leading 12-7 at halftime, the Lady Waves scored 18 points in the third quarter and then outscored Dexter 20-7 in the fourth to take the blowout win.

Ferriday girls 57, Epps 45

RAYVILLE, La. — The Ferriday Lady Trojans held off a determined Epps squad Saturday afternoon to advance in the Rayville tournament.

Brianna Foster scored 18 points and Jasmine Upchurch scored 10 to lead the Lady Trojans to victory. Kierra Ward led Epps with 11 points.
