Lillian W. Clifford
FERRIDAY &8212; Funeral arrangements for Lillian W. Clifford, 92, a homemaker of Huntington, Texas, formerly of Ferriday, who passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at her residence, are incomplete at Comer Funeral Home.
Roger Wayne &8220;Butch&8221; Wilson Sr.
Dec. 5, 1948 &8212; Dec. 30, 2006
FERRIDAY &8212; Services for Roger Wayne &8220;Butch&8221; Wilson, 58, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Barry Dennis officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young&8217;s Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 5, 1948, in Wisner, La., the son of Berry and Marie Wilson. He was a resident of Ferriday and a member of Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wilson was involved in local law enforcement since the age of 18. He began his career with the Concordia Parish Sheriff&8217;s Office as a deputy sheriff under Noah Cross. Later, he went to work for the district attorney&8217;s office, where he served as a criminal investigator before furthering his career with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. He served as chief of police of Ferriday for eight years. At the conclusion of his term as chief, he went to work with the Vidalia Police Department in probation and narcotics, and he was also a commissioned deputy under Randy Maxwell. Wilson served under former sheriffs Fred Schiele and Hubert Lee McGlothin. His law enforcement career spanned forty years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Wilson of Ferriday; two sons, Roger Wayne Wilson Jr. and Noah Cross Wilson, both of Ferriday; his mother, Marie Swindle Wilson of Ferriday; and brother, Mike WIlson of Jonesville.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Carroll, Mack Moore, Freddie Mount, Kenneth Hedrick, Glen Lipsey, Glen McGlothin, Jeff Britt and Jesse Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Maxwell and members of the Concordia Parish Sheriff&8217;s Office.

LAFAYETTE, La. &8212; Services for Rollo William Boyd, 91, of Lafayette, La., who died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home in Lafayette, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
