Burglars hunting for change stealing air

Area gas stations have been deflated after thieves took several air compressors for the change, law officials said.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Ricky Stevens said Thursday that several of the missing compressors have been found, but others are still missing.
“They take 75 cents to run, and they’re taking them for the change,” Stevens said.
The air compressors, from Adams and Jefferson counties, went missing just before Christmas, he said.
Several were ripped out of the concrete with poles still attached, and some even had concrete attached to the poles, he said.
Anyone with any information on the missing compressors should call Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000 or the sheriff’s office.
