Rams fall to Central Private

After falling behind early to Central Private, WCCA rallied in the second half but came up short, as the Rams fell to the Rebels 45-40 on the road Thursday.

The Rebels jumped ahead early, outscoring the Rams 14-6 in the first quarter.

WCCA tried to get back in it in the second quarter, but the Rebels matched buckets with the Rams and ended the half with an eight-point, 23-15 lead.

The Rams came back strong in the third quarter, and outscored the Rebels 13-8 to cut Central Private’s lead to one score, 31-28, heading into the final quarter.

The Rams tried to keep things going offensively in the fourth quarter, but the Rebels scored 14 points of their own to seal the deal on a five-point victory.

With the loss, the Rams overall record fell to 1-10. WCCA was led in scoring by Trumaine Norwood with 11 points.
