Services for Bobby Ray McNeely, 76, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lismore Baptist Church with the Rev. C. D. Beard and James Shirley officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. McNeely was born July 5, 1930, in Olla, La., the son of Fount and Mary McNeely. He was a resident of Natchez and a member of Lismore Baptist Church. He was the longtime owner of Plantation Park. He worked in the oil industry for 35 years and was involved in real estate renovation and rental business. Mr. McNeely served two tours of duty in the Korean War in the United States Army. His greatest joy was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Peggy Lea McNeely; brothers, James Fount McNeely, Jerry Pat McNeely Sr.; and sisters, Juanita Crouch and Maurice Willson.
Survivors include his daughters, Crista Young and her husband, H. Thomas, of Denham Springs, La. and Lyda Jordan and her husband, Charles, of Natchez; grandchildren, Thomas Young, Sarah Young and Michael Young, Kenneth Jordan, Margaret Jordan and Bankston Jordan; sister, LaVerne Moore and her husband, Edgar, of Ferriday; sister-in-law, Ginger McNeely of Ferriday; uncle, Kyler McNeely of Monterey; very special friend, Eloise Sullivan of Ferriday; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be H. Thomas Young III, Michael Young, Robin Willson, Mark Moore, Graham McNeely, Pat McNeely Jr., Yankee Duncan and Will Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Miller Willson, Seth Moore, Edgar Moore and Walter Duncan.
