Services for Leila White, 47, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Mays officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. White was born Nov. 8, 1959, in Foules, La., the daughter of Fred and O. C. Wilson White. She was a nurse’s assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Fred White; sisters, Sarah White and Loni Wesley.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth White and Travis Barber, both of Jonesville; beloved companion, Kenneth Barber of Jonesville; brother, Frank White of Alexandria; sisters, Vera L. White of Ferriday, Ouida Hawkins and husband, Wilbert, of Alexandria and Mandy Whitfield of Houston; grandchildren Tayia White of Houston and Kenneth White Jr. of Alexandria; one aunt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
