Ella Hawkins

Services for Ella Marie “Rebaby” Hawkins, 52, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at her residence, will be noon today at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Cranfield, under the direction of Webb Funeral System.

Ms. Hawkins was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Natchez, the daughter of Viola Hawkins-Webb and Leroy Anderson Sr. She was a 1973 graduate of North Natchez High School. She was employed with Isle of Capri Casino and Kentucky Fried Church, Ferriday. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father; and stepfather, James Webb.

She leaves memories to cherish with her mother, Viola Webb of Natchez; sons, Edward Conner Jr. and wife, Tabatha, of Jackson, Travis Conner and wife, Karen, of Natchez, and Terrance Conner and wife, Churie, of Honolulu, Hawaii; step-daughters, Denise Jackson and husband, Donald, of Natchez, Linda Jackson-Rhabb and husband, Torie, of San Bernadina, Calif. and Tangela Jones-Hawthorne and husband, Steve, of Hattiesburg; sisters, Irma Kinapoe and husband, Jeremiah, of Minneapolis, Minn., Carolyn Harris and husband, James, Beverly Pierce and husband, Greg, Betty Johnson, Dianne Jones, and Elizabeth Evans, all of Natchez; brothers, John Hawkins and wife, Patricia, Otis Hawkins and wife, Stephanie, Carl Anderson, James Webb, Warren Anderson, all of Natchez, and Leroy Anderson Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; one aunt, Queen Ella Walker of Natchez; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richard Blanton, Kendrick Jackson, Michael Woods, Shawn Crockett, Greg Pierce, Steve Hoggatt, and Maurice Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Hawkins, Otis Hawkins, Carl Anderson, James Webb, Warren Anderson, and Leroy Anderson Jr.
