Percy Lyons

Services for Percy Lyons, 86, who died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Baptist Church in Ridgecrest with the Rev. Johnny Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lyons was born Dec. 25, 1920, in Vidalia, the son of Grant and Alayde Jones Lyons. H e was a retired farmer and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Bowser Lyons; three daughters, Helen Lyles and Catherine Cartwright and husband, Oliver, all of Vidalia and Frances Moore of New Orleans; one son, Percy Lyons Jr. and wife, Leontine, of Geismer, La.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a special niece, Mary Ann Bowser and husband, Bobby, of Charlotte, N.C.
