Services for Louis Joseph DuBois, 76, of Houma, who died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, will be 11 a.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Chauvin Funeral Home, Houma.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. DuBois was a retired utility service man with Columbia Gulf Transmission of 42 years. He enjoyed barbecuing, boiling seafood, socializing with his friends and spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam DuBois and Emelia Trahan DuBois; brother, Davis DuBois; and sisters, Marie Labit Breaux, Marceline Bergeron, Elda Falgout and Aline Duplantis.
Survivors include his sons, Robert “Peanut” DuBois and wife, Debra, of Sulphur, La. and Buddy Chambliss and wife, Diana, of Powder Springs, Ga.; daughter, Roxanne DuBois Mayer and husband, Mark, of Houma; brother, Paul DuBois and Leroy DuBois, both of Houma; sister, Theresa Authement of Chauvin; grandchildren, Brandon DuBois, Randé DuBois, Roy Finley, Shanon Schevers, Shane Chambliss, Russell Caldwell, Kristen Caldwell and Daniel Mayer; and great-grandchild, Stephanie Chambliss.
