Services for Winston Fagan, 79, of Aurora, Colo., who died Jan. 3, 2007, were held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007 at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel with the Rev. John Thompson officiating.
Burial followed at Fort Logan National Cemetery, in Denver, Colo., under the direction of Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel.
Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007.
Mr. Fagan was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Sibley, the son of Winston and Mary B. Fagan. He was retired from the United States Army and Denver Public School System. He was a faithful member of Park Hill United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace T. Fagan; his parents; and stepmother, Julia C. Fagan.
Survivors include a sister, Julia F. Woods of Sibley; brother, Roosevelt Fagan Sr. and wife, Helen, of San Antonio, Texas; stepchildren, Ruth Batie, Violet Lister, Louis Neal, all of Aurora, Colo., and Delores Neal of Denver, Colo.; stepgranddaughter, Madelyn Wilson of Denver, Colo.; nephews, Larry Woods and wife, Bonita, of Sibley, Roosevelt Fagan Jr., and Winston W. Fagan, both of San Antonio, Texas; nieces, Dietrich Woods and Marilyn Woods, both of Sibley, Arlene Waldon and husband, Joel Sr., and Stephanie Fagan, all of San Antonio, Texas, and Linda McMorris of Pearland, Texas; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Lewis Baker, Bernard Butler, Donald Adolph Drake, Charlie Flowers, Albert Mickens Jr. and David Washington.
