The ACCS Lady Rebels stayed close with Prairie View the whole way, but were unable to climb the hump as the Lady Spartans took a 47-35 win and the District 4-AA title.
Prairie View led 19-15 at halftime and then outscored ACCS 14-10 in both the third and fourth quarters to pick up the 12 point victory.
Caroline Oliphant scored 20 to lead Prairie View to the win. Catherine Coats also scored in double figures for Prairie View with 10.
Katie Anne Swinny scored 16 to lead the Lady Rebels. Ariana DeLaSalle was held to just six points on the night, as Swinny was the only ACCS player to score in double figures.
The loss dropped ACCS to 28-9 on the season, but their runner-up finish in the district tournament will be enough to continue their postseason play.
They will open play Monday in the Class AA South State playoffs at Copiah Academy, but their opponent and playing time are currently unclear.
