Four men were arrested Monday at a hotel on various drug charges.
The four men had more than six grams — $1,240 worth — of crack cocaine and more than $500 cash, along with a large amount of pharmaceuticals, said Cliff Cox, commander of the Natchez-Adams County Metro Narcotics Unit.
The men had a room at a Seargent S. Prentiss Drive hotel, Cox said.
“We had an anonymous complaint and investigated,” Cox said.
“They had more than a two-liter bottle of promethazine mixed with codeine — many, many felony amounts.”
The two pharmaceuticals are often used in conjunction with marijuana, Cox said.
Donald Markeith Brengettsy, 26, 301 McNeely Road, Apt. 13A, was arrested on charges of felony possession of promethazine with codeine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.
Derrick Dwayne Blanton, 24, 2 Major Blvd., was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of promethazine with codeine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Clifton Lamar Hoggatt, 41, 5 Major Blvd., was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine and possession of promethazine with codeine.
Phillip Earl Bradley, 23, 582 Lower Woodville Road, was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, felony possession of promethazine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
