WCCA 6, Bowling Green 2

CLINTON, La. — Hayden Whetstone pitched six solid innings as he allowed just two runs on three hits as the WCCA Rams picked up their first win of the season by defeating Bowling Green 6-2 Thursday afternoon at the Silliman Tournament.

Colin Doré pitched the bottom of the seventh inning and held the Buccaneers scoreless after the Rams (1-1) scored two runs in the top of the inning to make it a 6-2 game.

WCCA struck first for four runs in the top of the first inning, but didn’t score again until the seventh. Bowling Green got a home run from Hunt and a double from Allen, but it would not be enough.

Doré and Zach Pourciau each hit a double and Joseph Harvey was the only multiple hitter of the game, going 2-for-3.
