Services for Clarence “Bear” Edward Anderson Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Natchez, the son of the Rev. Claude and Katie Anderson. He was a graduate of Brumfield High School and earned an Associate Degree from Natchez Junior College. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company-Fidelity Tire. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School and was assistant secretary. He was a member of the Church Club, Deacon Club and the Choir Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Claude Anderson Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille B. Anderson; sons, Clarence E. Anderson Jr. and Barry Robinson; daughter, Rotundera “Toni” Robinson; sisters, Betty Jean Harris and husband, Henry, and Ollie Mae Jones and husband, Leander.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth B. Anderson, Charles Chatman, Michael Chatman, Edward Vann Clarke Jr., Sherman Clarke, and Leander Jones Jr.
