Services for Rita Rae Alexander, 74, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, in Jackson, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Curt Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alexander was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Auburn, the daughter of William Jackson Allred and Thursa Mae Johnston Allred. She was a member of Cranfield Baptist Church as well as the Country Living Homemakers Club. She was a resident of Adams County Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by parents; and husband, Willie Woodroe Alexander Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Alexander and wife, Janice, and Willie Woodroe Alexander II and wife, Marilyn, all of Natchez; daughters, Alexis Ann Faust and husband, Fred, of Sealy, Texas and Dena Thornton of Natchez; grandchildren, Nicki Faust, Brad Thornton, Jennifer Alexander Rutland, Stacy Thornton Roberts, Alexis Faust Burton, Will Alexander III, Crystal Isbell and Emily Thornton; great-grandchildren, Caylen Roberts, Tucker Walding, Blake Rutland, Will Alexander IV, Autumn Thornton, Kimberly Burton, Ethan Isbell, Caleb Thornton, and Blair Rutland.
Pallbearers will be Brad Thornton, Will Alexander, Trey Isbell, Eddie Roberts, Eddie Wayne Rutland, Less Stoltenberg, Billy Martin and Matt Wiggins.
