Colin Dore’ pitched five shutout innings and gave up just three hits as the Rams defeated the Chiefs in five innings Tuesday night in the District 7-A opener for both teams.

WCCA, on the other hand, ended up with nine hits and took advantage of six Tensas errors. However, not a single one of those hits went for extra bases. Lane Allen McCarty and George Davis each went 2-for-4 for the Rams (5-6, 0-1).

The Rams jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, but Tensas (1-7, 0-1) kept them scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning, when they scored four runs to end the game via the 10-run rule.
