VIDALIA — The Cathedral Green Wave used a big fifth inning to pull away from Minden Saturday afternoon at the Vidalia Invitational.

Leading 1-0 heading into the inning, the Green Wave scored seven runs to put the game away.

Patrick McDonough picked up the win with a one-hit shutout, and Jesse Morrison had two doubles and a triple for Cathedral (11-4).

Blasé Bradford also had a double for the Green Wave.
