Services for Martha Willena Smith Britt, 87, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 17, 2007, will be 10 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Britt was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Eddiceton, the daughter of Walter Willis Smith and Addie Ola Rushing Smith. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church, which is now Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Britt; daughter, Addie Louise Blackwell; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Britt.
Survivors include her sons, L.J. Britt and wife, Jackie, Billy Jack Britt Sr. and wife, Lynn, and Daniel Ivan Britt, all of Natchez, and Leroy Britt and wife, Sandie, of Lake Charles, La.; daughters,, Yvonne Nosser and Sherrill McCurley and husband, Ronald, all of Natchez; grandsons, Jay Britt, Bill Britt, Ralph Fleming, Kelvin Fleming, Ronnie Fleming, Rikki McCurley, David McCurley, Chan McCurley and Ray Blackwell; granddaughters, Becky Britt, Jolynn Whitehead, Peggy Beckham, Jeanene Fowler, Renee’ Blackwell and Lena Boyles; 26 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David McCurley, Rikki McCurley, Chan McCurley, Ronald Fleming, Ralph Fleming, Kelvin Fleming, Ray Blackwell and Billy Britt Jr.
Honorary pallbearer is SSgt. Jimmy Troy “Jay” Britt of Iraq.
