The Rebels spotted the Saints a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, then scored eight runs over the next three innings as the fourth-ranked team in the MPSA rolled to a big win Saturday afternoon.
Trinity hit the ball well and ended up with nine hits off winning pitcher Corey Elvin. However, the Saints weren’t able to translate enough of those hits into runs.
And while Central Private ended up with 13 hits, the Saints made things worse by committing seven errors in the game.
Justin Couvillion went 4-for-4 with a home run and Matt Creel was 2-for-4 with a double for Central Private. Jeremy Waldrop was 2-for-4 with a double for Trinity (4-6).
