VIDALIA — Shayne Knapp helped rally Vidalia from a 7-5 deficit by holding Block (5-10) scoreless in the last four innings of the game as the Vikings got a much-needed win Saturday afternoon.
Vidalia (13-8) took a 5-1 lead into the top of the third inning, but lost that lead when the Bears scored six runs to take the lead. Not long after that, Knapp came in and shut Block down.
The Vikings rallied with two runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at 7-7. They scored what turned out to be the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth and added another run in the bottom of the sixth.
