The Adams County Christian School kicked off their season on Saturday by hosting the fourth annual ACCS Softball Classic.
Lady Rebels head coach Rick Fife said he was pleased with his teams performance and the tournament’s turnout.
“We had a real good tournament. It went real well,” he said.
“I also thought the competition was real good.”
The Lady Rebels won their first game of the season against Brookhaven Academy on Saturday, then fell to Amite School Center twice, including the champioship game.
ACCS downed Parklane to advance to the championship game.
ACCS will rise above the .500 mark at 2-2 on Monday when they face Simpson on the road. They will then have a rematch with Brookhaven on Tuesday.
“I thought we did real well in the first game, but I think thigs will be more competitive and fairly even on Tuesday,” Fife said.
But overall, Fife said he has been pleased with his team’s start.
“We have got to be more patient at he plate,” he said.
Defensively, Fife said his team is making progress, and their play has been becoming more consistant.
