Huntington rips Tallulah Academy

TALLULAH, La. — Led by the pitching of Trey Corbett and the hitting of Landon Willard, Huntington cruised to an easy win over the Trojans to remain undefeated in District 7-A.

Corbett was the winning pitcher and he dominated Tallulah from start to finish. He allowed just one run on three hits. The only run the Trojans scored was on a home run by Brandon Beard in the bottom of the sixth inning.

One of the other two hits by Tallulah Academy was a double by losing pitcher Casey Landrum.

Willard, who was 2-for-3, ended up hitting two home runs and Zack Brown hit a home run of his own as Huntington (10-7, 4-0) finished with nine hits. Richard Steele was 2-for-3 and Jordan Wilson was 2-for-4.
