Services for James Bruno “Tee” Gibbs, 54, of Meadville, who died Saturday, March 24, 2007, will be 11 a.m. today at Sweet Home MIssionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at New Fork Cemetery, in Meadville, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Bude.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Gibbs was born May 5, 1952, in Brookhaven, the son of James Bruno Gibbs Sr. and Curlee Smith Gibbs. He was a graduate of Alcorn State University. He was also Incorporator and Coach of Bude Boxing Club. He was a former Golden Gloves State Champion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Evelyn Gibbs, Genice Gibbs and Curley Mae “Cherry” Gibbs.
Survivors include his wife, Charlyne Costley Gibbs of Meadville; his daughter, Victoria Collins and husband, Robert, of Bude; sons, Carlton Gibbs of Meadville and Andre’ Gibbs of Panama City, Fla.; sisters, Gloria Cannon and husband, Herbert, Margie Campbell and Shirley Walker and husband, Lonnie; brothers, Bobby Gibbs, Jerry Gibbs and wife, Rose, and Tony Gibbs and wife, Johnnie; grandsons, De’Hendrit and De’Martni Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Repast will be at New Fork United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, William Street,
