Shots fired in Ferriday; no injuries

Shots were fired in Ferriday in two separate instances Tuesday night.
The first instance occurred at the corner of Ninth Street and Georgia Avenue.
According to police reports, Demarco Kelly was driving down Georgia Avenue when he saw the suspect in the shooting, Antwoine Amado, standing at the corner of Ninth Street and Georgia Avenue.
Amado then allegedly began firing a gun in Kelly’s direction.
One bullet entered Kelly’s car through the back glass and exited through the front windshield. Kelly was unharmed in the incident.
Ferriday Police officials say that, while Amado is considered a suspect, an arrest has not been made.
The second shooting took place at the Topcats Lounge, where shots were fired during a disturbance.
No one was injured, and there are currently no suspects.
The two incidents are believed to be unrelated.
