Vershal Hogan has joined the news team at The Natchez Democrat as a Louisiana reporter.

A native of Choudrant, La., Hogan attended Louisiana College in Pineville and Louisiana Tech in Ruston, where he studied journalism.

His newspaper experience includes serving as reporter, news editor and editor-in-chief for the Louisiana College paper, The Wildcat.

Hogan and his wife, the former Susannah Morris of Vidalia, live in Vidalia with their son, Micah, 2.
