Services for the Rev. Lester Jay Stotts, 91, who died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at his residence, will be held 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ball, with Dr. Joe Kite, Rev. Dennis Hackler, and Rev. Gary Penton officiating.
Burial will be follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. today until service time at the funeral home.
Rev. Stotts was a retired Baptist minister and a member of First Baptist Church in Pineville and was also retired from McLean Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy; parents, Charles and Jessie Ceilings Stotts of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers, Garland of Houston, Texas and Virgil of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a grandchild, Linda Gayle Clark of Pineville.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Stotts Kiser and her husband Virgil of Concordia Lake, and Dolores Stotts Clark of Pineville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and his dedicated care giver, Audrey Berry.
Pallbearers will be Lee Kiser, Larry Kiser, Ben Hackler, Matt Hackler, Mike Hopkins, Robert Kiser, Joe Black and Doug Sherwood.
Honorary pallbearers are Virgil Kiser, Hunter Clark Martin, Rev. Ray Ford and Will Atkins-Arnett.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 911 Main Street, Pineville, La., or to the Gideon’s International.
