Services for Carl D’Aquilla Sr., 84, of Centreville, who died Friday, April 6, 2007, at his residence in Woodville, will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodville with the Revs. Pat Smith, Father Jeffery Bayhi and Tom Sexton and Dr. Dennis Johnsey officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, with Rosary at 8 p.m., and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. D’Aquilla was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Adelina Escher D’Aquila; his wife, Mildred D’Aquila; grandson, Carl E. “Trey” D’Aquilla III; and brothers, Sylvester D’Aquila and Joseph D’Aquila.
Survivors include sons, Carl E. D’Aquilla Jr and wife, Betty Sue, of Centreville, Gary D’Aquilla and Louis D’Aquila and wife, Tina, all of Woodville; sisters, Katherine Plitt and Nuffie Gonda, both of Woodville and Alta Stutzman of St. Francisville; brother, Milton D’Aquila of Woodville; grandchildren, Travis and Reagan D’Aquilla, Mary and Adam Hays, Michael D’Aquilla, Katherine D’Aquila, Tyler D. Aquilla, Lauren Mingee and Carly Mingee; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Adam Hays, Tyler D’Aquilla, Travis D’Aquilla, Michael D’Aquilla, Joey Soulier and John Roe Carter.
