Lovitt promoted to vice president at Deaconess

Deaconess HomeCare announces that Penny Lovitt, RN, MSN has been promoted to vice president of Professional Services. She is responsible for the clinical, financial and operational oversight of the certified home care services in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Ohio. Lovitt began employment with Deaconess HomeCare June of 1984, working in numerous field, branch, and regional positions. She also serves as the Program Project Leader for DHCs Telehealth Program and has presented at various conferences on telehealth. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Alcorn State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Lovitt is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Association for Home Care and has held various leadership positions with the Mississippi Nurses Association. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the National Association for Home Care, and the American Telemedicine Association.
Lovitt is a resident of Hattiesburg. She is the wife of Bo Lovitt and mother of Cameron, 22, and Taylor, 18. She is a member of Temple Baptist Church, Hattiesburg where she serves on several committees.
