We can’t predict that the weather will be perfect on Friday but we can predict that the golf will be hot! Come join us for the 14th annual United Way Golf Scramble at beautiful Beau Pré County Club.
Your United Way organization has worked tirelessly this past year to help those in need in the Miss-Lou. Now it is time to pause, have some fun and raise money to continue funding for our community agencies in 2008.
The Natchez Isle of Capri is pleased to once again be a major sponsor and many other local businesses are supporting us with donations and sponsoring teams.
We invite others to join. An individual hole sponsorship is only $150
Come on out for a fun afternoon. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Following the scramble, an awards reception will feature hors d’oeuvres, beverages and prizes. The entry fee is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, range balls, lunch and reception. Three stroke mulligans may be purchased for $20.
Great prizes include trophies and golf merchandise and will be awarded to winning teams as well as for closest to the hole, longest drive and the much sought-after “hole in one.” Lots of fun door prizes give everyone an extra chance to take something home. Players may sign up individually and will be assigned to a team or you can create your own four-person team.
In addition to players, we need tournament sponsors. Platinum sponsorship is $800 and includes reception sponsorship, a four-person team and hole sponsorship. The gold $500 level includes reception sponsorship, a two-man entry, and hole sponsorship. Silver for $250 includes one-entry and hole sponsorship. Anyone can sponsor a hole for $150. Entry forms are available from the local United Way office at 206 North Canal or by calling 601-442-1081. Many local firms have forms available. Don’t delay submitting your entry form.
The United Way Board of the Greater Miss-Lou and all the agencies they support encourage golfers on both sides of the river to come out, play golf, and help our community. ‘FORE!
