Promotions announced at United Mississippi Bank

John W. Christian, CEO at United Mississippi Bank, has announced promotions at United Mississippi Bank.

William N. “Bill” Ashley Jr. has been promoted to vice president/manager chief information officer. Ashley has been with United Mississippi Bank since 2002 having served as the manager of information services and assistant vice president.

Ashley is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor of science in computer science. He is a member of the Adams County Humane Society and attends Calvary Baptist Church.

Ellen C. Sessions has been promoted to vice president/cashier. Sessions has been in banking 25 years, joining UMB in 2003.

Prior to joining UMB, Sessions worked for American Bank of Baton Rouge, Louisiana Bank and Trust Co. of Baton Rouge and Commercial Bank of Woodville. Sessions has a bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University.

Sessions is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Baton Rouge.

In addition to the promotions, Eleanor Eustis Young has been named a director on the board for United Mississippi Bank. Young attended Sophie Newcomb College, now Tulane University.

Young is the widow of the late Dr. John R. Young and the mother of one daughter, Sarah
