NATCHEZ — A 19-year-old Natchez man has been arrested on charges of rape.

Fredrick White, 1224 Watkins St., was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night in connection with an incident that happened on March 26.

White allegedly came to a West Steirs Lane house that night and got into a fight with another male. A 34-year-old female, who reportedly used to date White, was also at the home, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.

The woman signed an affidavit for the rape charges two weeks after the incident occurred.

White is being held in the city jail on $30,000 bond. He is also wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
