FERRIDAY — Services for Retha Whittington Floyd, 60, of Hineston, La., who died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Summit Nursing Home in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Pentecostal Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Kevin Cox officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Mrs. Floyd was born May 16, 1946, in Gloster, the daughter of Sam Curtis and Neva Rollins Whittington. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Curtis Emmett Whittington.
Survivors include, her husband, Gary L. Floyd Sr.; two sons, Gary L. Floyd Jr. of Alexandria and Jamie and wife Tina Floyd both of West Monroe; La., four grandchildren, Hannah and Carmen Floyd of West Monroe and Mariah and Ben Floyd of Maryville, La.; two brothers, Sammy Whittington of Gloster and Harry Whittington of Baker, La.; one sister, Dora Wilkinson of Walker, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews and her beloved church family.
Pallbearers will be Randy Price, John Floyd, Ralph Lambert, Travis Floyd, the Rev. Pat Anders and Havie Ainsworth.
