NATCHEZ — Prayer services for Charles G. Nettles, 69, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at his residence, will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Spruce Derden officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nettles was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Franklin County, the son of Hosley and Velma Jane Davis Nettles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Carroll Evon Nettles.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Nettles of Natchez; sons, Gerald Wayne Nettles and Charles Michael Nettles, both of Natchez; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Cox of Meadville.
