WOODVILLE — Services for Benjamin Bibbins, 85, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Charles E. Bell officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Union Funeral Home, Centreville.
Mr. Bibbins was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Woodville, the son of Joe and Lydia Lueh Bibbins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a sister; and 12 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Easter Bibbins; sons, Leon Bibbins and Benjamin Bibbins Jr., both of New Orleans; daughters, Hattie Hawkins and Elmarie Haidor of Baton Rouge, Doretha Gaines of Avondale, Annie Mae McClaine of New Orleans, Joyce George of Woodville, and Juanita of Atlanta, Ga.; and a brother, Nathaniel Bibbins of New Orleans; 33 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
