Nell Yarborough Haire

April 21, 1924 – May 23, 2007

UNION CHURCH — Services for Nell Yarborough Haire, 83, of Union Church, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Church Baptist Church.

Graveside burial service will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Meadville, under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home, Meadville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Haire was born April 21, 1924, in Tylertown, the daughter of Albert Yarborough and Wilma Yarborough.

Mrs. Haire touched many lives during her time of serving with her husband as a minister’s wife. She shared her love of God by growing and arranging beautiful flower arrangements for church services and other occasions. She made and kept her priorities by serving God, her husband, children, friends and the community. Her life was an example of love and commitment. She will surely be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Franklin Haire. They were married for 53 years until his death in 1998; her parents; brother, Homer Albert Yarborough; and sister, Patsy Yarborough.

Survivors include her children, James Truett Haire and wife, Jamie, of Dothan, Ala., Nan Haire Maxwell and husband, Bari, of Huntington Beach, Calif., Cela Haire Diefenbach and husband, Steve, of Baton Rouge, Albert Alan Haire and wife, Lisa, of McKinney, Texas, Timothy Franklin Haire and wife, Wanda, of Union Church, Nola Haire Curtis and husband, Mark, of Brandon; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy Yarborough Kennedy and Jane Yarborough Hancock.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village or a charity of choice.
