Law officials are looking for man who reportedly attempted to rape a 24-year-old Natchez woman Monday afternoon, an Adams County Sheriff’s Office investigator said Wednesday.

“She said she was driving down the road and a green four-door pickup came up behind her and bumped her vehicle,” ACSO Investigator Maj. Jody Waldrop said. “She pulled over, and the truck blocked her in.”

As the woman reported it Tuesday, a man got out of the truck, grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her, Waldrop said. Another driver came along and scared off the attacker, he said.

“She said this person (the man) had been stalking her and that she had not reported it to us,” Waldrop said. “We feel this is an isolated incident.”

The sheriff’s office could use help finding the man, Waldrop said.

The man was driving a green four-door truck, likely a Ford F-150, with Texas plates, Waldrop said.

The victim described the man as 5 feet 10 inches tall, Hispanic, with an earring in his left ear, one gold tooth, black wavy hair and a tattoo of a man with a baseball bat on his left arm.
