Bessie Corban

Services for Bessie Lee Faust Corban, 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 28, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, were 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Jason Russell officiating.
Burial followed at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, in Franklin County, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Corban was born July 4, 1923, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles Daniel and Hattie Maude Ikerd Faust.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie A. Corban; grandson, Ronnie Childers; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Thelma Allgood and husband, Harold, both of Natchez; sons, C.D. Corban and wife, Nancy, of Queen City, Texas, Samuel M. Corban and wife, Brenda, both of Ferriday and David W. Corban and wife, Marjorie, both of Pearl; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charles Burley of Duback, La., Willie Bell Priest and husband, Troy, and Betty Fay Priest, both of Roxie; brother-in-law, Lloyd White of San Angelo, Texas; sister-in-law, Juanita Faust of McComb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Randy Priest, Samuel Corban, Larry Craft, Greg Ensminger, Calvin Greer and Curt Freeman.
The family thanks the staff at Natchez Community Hospital and Tracehaven Nursing Home.
