VIDALIA — Storytelling performances for children will be Thursday at the Ferriday and Vidalia branches of the Concordia Parish Library.
Storyteller Sylvia Davis will perform at 10:15 a.m. at the Ferriday branch and at 2 p.m. at the Vidalia branch as part of the library’s summer reading program, said Sally Gilmore with the Concordia Parish Library.
The program’s focus will be to develop a love of reading and to celebrate the art of storytelling, Gilmore said.
Davis has visited Concordia Parish many times and children love her stories, Gilmore said.
Davis incorporates lots of personality and humor into her performances, and she is a favorite with children because she puts her heart and soul into storytelling, Gilmore said.
