CORINTH — Services for Audrey R. Leake Brown, 68, of Wilkinson County, who died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Oshner Medical Center, in Baton Rouge, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Corinth Church of Christ with Brother Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, in Woodville, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Brown was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Crosby, the daughter of Edwin Jewel Leake and Ruth Elizabeth Metcalf Blalock. Audrey known to most of her loved ones as “Maw” was dedicated to her family. They always came first in her life. She was always there for her family whenever they needed her. She was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ in the Buffalo community near Woodville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Randy Brown; her parents; her brothers, Clarence Leake, Julius Leake, Wallace Leake and Henry Wayne Leake; and sisters, Gracie Hazlip and Betty Foreman.
Survivors include her husband, Lindsay Brown Sr.; children, Katherine Pasqua and husband, David, of Baker, La., Janice Faye Adams of Natchez, Linda McNeely and husband, Donald, and Lindsay E. Brown Jr. and wife, Evelyn, all of Woodville, and Ray Brown and wife, Connie, of Crosby; grandchildren, Dana Mahon, Jason Coco, Kim Sanders, Casey Pasqua, Karen Massey, Sarah David, Michael Brown, and Dwight Williams; step-grandchildren, Mary Ellard, Daniel Ellard, Jason Ellard and Mandy Payne; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed Leake of Kittery Point, Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
