Amite School Center student wins title

LIBERTY — Brittan Ann Harden, a 2007 graduate of Amite School Center, has garnered more crowning glory and made history in becoming Amite School Center’s first-ever Mississippi Homecoming Queen winner.
Recently in Jackson, she competed in the state pageant against other homecoming queens from across the state.
The girls were judged on interview, stage presence in formal wear, and an on the spot question asked on stage.
As Mississippi’s Homecoming Queen, Brittan has won a cash scholarship and an expense paid trip to Anaheim, Calif., to compete for America’s Homecoming Queen in the national pageant which will be held July 28-Aug. 2.
She will be competing against homecoming queens from each state at the Disneyland Hotel Disneyland Resort.
Winners will once again be awarded cash scholarships to the college of their choice.
