SUMMIT — The Natchez All-Stars got off to a good start at the 2007 Mississippi Dixie Youth Baseball Coach-Pitch All-Stars Sub-District 6 Tournament with a resounding 26-0 win over host Summit All-Stars Thursday night.

With the win, Natchez advances in the winner’s bracket and won’t have to play again until Saturday at 7:45 p.m. against a team to be determined.

“Natchez hit the ball as well as they can hit it,” coach Gary Farmer said. “The defense was superb. We turned one double play. (Had a) great diving catch by Jacob Jenkins on a foul ball. It was a great catch.”
