Horton joins The Democrat staff as news editor

NATCHEZ — Luke Horton has joined the staff of The Natchez Democrat as news editor.

Horton, a native of Decatur and a graduate of Mississippi State University, comes to Natchez from Kosciusko Star-Herald where he served as news editor. He has a degree in communications and a background in writing and photography.

Horton will work with The Democrat’s newsroom staff to cover news in the Miss-Lou, take photos and design pages.

He is also a self-employed wedding photographer. His work can be seen at www.lukehorton.com.

Horton, wife Lauren and 1-year-old son Ethan are relocating to Natchez.
