ST. FRANCISVILLE — Rachel Ward continues to excel in the academics at West Feliciana High School in St. Francisville, where she recently finished her freshman year.

She had a 4.14 grade point average and was on the principal’s list the entire school year. She had all A’s at the end of the first and the second semester. Rachel credits her success to the great faculty and staff as well as to her parents, Robert and Nell Ward of Woodville.

She said that the guidance and support from all of the team players contributed to her success. Ward said she enjoyed the rigor of the college preparatory curriculum and considers it the bridge builder to her success at the next three years of high school.

Ward said she enjoys working with young children and aspires to attend Harvard after graduating from high school and become a pediatrician.
