TWENTY YEARS AGO — Natchez swimmers Whitney Truly and Chris Ogden break state records in the 100 meter breaststroke and the 200 meter individual medley and the 100 meter freestyle, respectively, at the Pensacola Sports Festival Swim Meet.

TEN YEARS AGO — Janice Davis finishes first in the long jump and third in the 400-meter dash while Natalie Noble finishes second in both the 800 meters and the 400 meters in the girls’ 13-14 division at the Southern Association Track Meet at Natchez High.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Devron Green keeps TLC Daycare in the game with game-tying home runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings and hits a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth for a 29-25 win over Winn Pharmacy and the T.M. Jennings Coach-Pitch title.
