James Lee is best bet for county coroner

James E. Lee, pastor and coroner of Adams County is, in my opinion, the best candidate for the position of Adams County coroner.
Rev. Lee prepared himself for this job by working free for two years with another county coroner before running for the position in Adams County. Rev. Lee is compassionate and experienced in family counseling. To his credit, he has 10 years of experience in medico legal death investigation and criminal death investigation. He also has 28 years of experience in the health care field.
Rev. Lee is a national certified respiratory therapist with a degree in respiratory technology, a Mississippi certified coroner, a Mississippi certified deputy sheriff, a registered pharmacy technician, and also a U.S. Army Veteran. Rev. Lee established what is now a physical location for the coroner’s office. He runs this office as a business while dealing with several different organizations such as law enforcement agencies, funeral homes, law firms, state criminal lab and insurance companies.
Rev. Lee has investigated over 3,000 deaths and has assisted in nearly 1,000 autopsies. He has learned to use the monies budgeted to his office in a conservative way and has placed no additional budget restraints on the taxpayers of Adams County.
Rev. Lee attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Alcorn State University and California College for Health Science.
Under Sheriff Ronny Brown, he took advantage of the opportunity to become a state certified law enforcement officer.
It is my opinion that we should keep this man’s expertise and knowledge on the job in Adams County. He has served the county well in services such as court proceedings, family visitations, and not to mention his two week rotation on the Gulf Coast and New Orleans during Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Often, he speaks to local school students on request despite his busy schedule. Rev. Lee has also demonstrated that he works for all the people in Adams County by answering 98 percent of all coroner’s calls per year. I believe that Rev. James E. Lee is the best candidate for the job.
