JONESVILLE — A Lismore woman found herself in the custody of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Monday after allegedly allowing her 11-year-old son to drive on the highway.
Tammy Lynn Lippman, 45, 6257 Louisiana 565, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, improper supervision of a minor child by a parent or legal guardian, improper lane use and no driver’s license.
Lippman was allegedly sitting in the passenger seat while her son was driving her car on Louisiana 565, CPSO Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens said.
Officers made the arrest after observing the car crossing the center line of the highway.
Lippman allegedly did not have a driver’s license.
Marijuana residue was reportedly found in her purse, and partially burned marijuana cigarettes were reportedly found at her home after Lippman authorized Concordia Narcotics Task Force officers to search her home, Stevens said.
The arrest was made by Deputies Chris Groh and Billy Joe Ratcliff.
Lippman was released on a $3,850 bond set by Judge Kathy Johnson Monday.
